OUR MISSION
The Blaser Cancer Research Fund is dedicated to improving the lives of children with cancer. We aim to support innovative research for childhood cancers with the hope of developing safer and more effective treatment options and providing financial support to ease the burden on families facing pediatric cancer.
OUR STORY
Founded in 2019 by two-time childhood cancer survivor Ava Blaser and her sister, Emma Blaser, the Blaser Cancer Research Fund was created from a place of deep personal experience and unwavering hope.
Partnering with the Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation, we are part of a broader movement working to raise awareness and generate hope, while making a meaningful impact on the lives of other children and families facing similar battles.
OUR WHY
Childhood cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease in children, yet funding and research for pediatric cancers remain significantly underfunded compared to adult cancers. We aim to change this by supporting research to reduce this gap, while generating more awareness about the disease and its impact.
We believe that every child deserves a chance to live a healthy, full life—free from cancer. With your support, we are working tirelessly to ensure that no child faces this fight alone.
OUR APPROACH
Funding Cutting-Edge Research:
We allocate 80% of the funds we raise to support research grants for childhood cancers. Our focus is on high-risk, high-reward trials that have the potential to revolutionize treatment options and outcomes for cancer patients.
Providing Financial Assistance:
Understanding the overwhelming financial strain that cancer treatment places on families, we direct 20% of our funds toward offering financial support to families facing hardships. This aid helps with medical costs, travel expenses, and other financial burdens associated with cancer care.
Zero dollars go towards administrative costs, ensuring that 100% of your donation goes to supporting our cause.
OUR IMPACT
As a result of your outstanding support:
We have been able to provide financial assistance to many families across the U.S
We have contributed to our first research grant: the Ally Anderson Fund for Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma research, with great promise to benefit over 11 other types of pediatric cancers including solid tumor cancers such as Wilms Tumor.
